I've spent the last couple of days indoors looking at a screen and books. And as of now I am glad to announce that I've officially finished my exams for this year and I'm more than ready to spend more time outdoors.
Tuesday afternoon I needed a break and instead of sitting in a room I spent a couple of hours shooting some photos in my neighbourhood. Without much creative energy, I wandered among the buildings and tried to capture some interesting or unusual shots. The work that inspired me to do this series is mostly a post at the IGNANT.de magazine that featured some excellent urban photography. As you might have noted, my last posts on this blog were quite diverse in genres and post-processing. I guess it is part of my journey as a photographer and the exploration of different styles is all in all very rewarding.
On a more personal note, the blog will be quieter than usual in December. My wife and I will be traveling around the south island of New Zealand and we honestly can't wait to start our holidays. But be assured that I will post some snapshots of our travels on Instagram and Twitter (links to follow along are at the bottom of the page). Enjoy the holiday season and take care.
All photos were shot with an Olympus OM-D E-M10 body and a M.ZUIKO 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ lens
