A Photowalk Through Birkenhead Point

As you probably know, I am studying at the moment and college is a good opportunity to find people that have the same interest and passions. That is how a good group 7 photographers came together for a Friday afternoon and walked around Birkenhead Point in Sydney.

There was no particular theme imposed, only to have fun together and share the passion of photography. It was particularly amazing to see and share the different photos after the walk on a Facebook page and see how different each one of us was and not one photograph was the same.

The community aspect was fun, to talk camera and gear as well as technique. And being in Sydney, the city with a strong coffee culture, we had an obligatory coffee pit stop that came handy.

I would encourage you, wherever you are, to get out there and meet people that share the same passion as you. Nowadays, there are so many possibilities to meet other photographers and it is really beneficial. Meetup groups, photowalks, exhibitions and even if nothing of this kind exists in your area; just start a group and get people together.

All photos were shot with an Olympus OM-D E-M10, Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH lens.
